The service

Stories in Norwegian offers graded stories in Norwegian Bokmål with audio, word highlighting, word explanations and quizzes. Some stories are free for everyone. The rest of the library is available with a one-time purchase.

Your account

An account is needed to sync progress and to buy. Keep your sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the website.

The full-library purchase

  • Price: paid once, as shown in the store or checkout before you pay (our base price is NOK 99). On the web the price is displayed in NOK and Lemon Squeezy charges the equivalent amount in USD, so the amount on your bank statement may differ after currency conversion. It is not a subscription and doesn't renew.
  • What you get: access to every story in the library at every level, including stories we add later, on the web, iPhone and Android, when you're signed in to the same account.
  • Duration: permanent. Your access to all current and future stories does not expire and does not need renewing.
  • Word explanations and other live AI features are included with fair-use daily limits, and may be paused temporarily (for example if a monthly capacity limit is reached). Saved explanations, stories and audio keep working.
  • Where you buy: in the iPhone app through Apple, in the Android app through Google Play, and on the website through Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record (reseller) for web purchases. Each provider's own purchase terms apply to the payment itself. The service is provided by the operator named above.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

See Withdrawal and refunds. Your statutory rights as a consumer always apply.

Acceptable use

Don't copy, redistribute or scrape the stories, audio or explanations, don't share accounts, and don't try to get around access controls or usage limits.

Content and mistakes

We work carefully on our stories, but automatically generated word explanations can contain mistakes. If something is wrong or doesn't work as described, contact us and we'll fix it. You then have the rights Norwegian consumer law gives you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

Complaints and disputes

Contact us first so we can try to solve the problem. If we can't agree, you can get help from Forbrukerrådet (the Norwegian Consumer Council), and the case can be brought before Forbrukerklageutvalget. Norwegian law applies.
