Han var femti år, jobbet to kontorer bortenfor henne og gikk i stram svart skidress hver eneste søndag, også når han bare skulle på butikken. Han hadde alltid nettopp gått fire mil i Bymarka, og han hadde alltid slått en eller annen personlig rekord.
