What it's about: For thirty years, retired lorry driver Oddbjørn has been the star of the local amateur revue in a small town in Solør, Hedmark. On opening night he freezes in the middle of his famous monologue, and the only person who knows every line is the shy prompter Jalal, who joined the revue to practise his Norwegian and has never dared to stand on a stage.
Hver vinter i tretti år hadde det vært revy i samfunnshuset på Kirkenær i Solør. Revyen var bygdas store begivenhet, større enn både julebord og 17. mai. Den ble skrevet av folk fra bygda, spilt av folk fra bygda og handlet om folk fra bygda. Lokalpolitikerne satt alltid på første rad og lo høyest, særlig når de selv ble gjort narr av.
